I have been staying at Las Vegas hotels for over eight years — sometimes for leisure, sometimes for work, and occasionally just because I needed to test a new property for this blog. I have slept in everything from a $59 Excalibur room to a $2,400 Wynn Sky Villa. What follows is my honest, unsponsored take on every major property on the Strip.

My rating system is simple: I evaluate hotels on five criteria — room quality, service, location, value for money, and overall vibe. Each review includes a star rating, price tier, and a one-paragraph honest summary. Click any hotel name to read the full review.

How I Rate Las Vegas Hotels

Every hotel on this list has been evaluated using the same five-point framework I developed after dozens of Strip stays. Here is what each criterion means in practice:

  • Room Quality: Bed comfort, soundproofing, bathroom size, HVAC reliability, and whether the room actually looks like the photos online.
  • Service: Check-in speed, concierge responsiveness, housekeeping consistency, and how staff handle problems when they arise.
  • Location: Walking distance to major attractions, ease of rideshare pickup, and proximity to the best dining and entertainment.
  • Value for Money: What you get relative to the nightly rate plus resort fee. A $400 room at the Wynn can be better value than a $200 room at a mid-tier property.
  • Overall Vibe: The intangible quality — does the hotel feel exciting, relaxing, or just transactional? Las Vegas hotels have distinct personalities and the right vibe matters enormously.
